progressive party. We would all be in opposite parties back then. Bringing up Lincoln is BS.

We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.

To be alluding to in his press release.

I'm quite aware of the evolution of both parties.

Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.
The above is a quote from Abraham Lincoln. If Lincoln was a Republican today, he would be dragged out of the RNC and thrown to the sidewalk. If I was transported to Lincoln's time, I would vote Republican. I would have voted for Teddy Roosevelt. But we don't live in their times.

There is a significant section of the right that HATES Lincoln. Just do a Google search for t-shirts with a picture of Lincoln and the phrase "Sic Semper Tyrannis". (Sic Semper Tryannis is Latin for "Thus always to tyrants", and was what John Wilkes Booth said after he shot Lincoln.)

“But we also recognize that today far too many in the African American community haven’t heard from us about how the Republican Party’s ideals are right for their families” said Co-Chair Day. “In the coming months and years, we’re going to change that perception and make sure every American hears and understands our principles–our dedication to expanding real opportunity in the job market, in education, and in health care.”
Republicans don't need to talk to African-Americans. They need to listen. They need to change their policies. They need to stop the racism that spews out of the GOP. That African-Americans don't vote Republican isn't because they don't know any better, that's a profoundly arrogant assumption on the part of the GOP.

Despite this fig leaf of a statement, we're going to hear a month of conservatives ranting and screaming against Black History Month. They scream "WHAT ABOUT WHITE HISTORY MONTH?" Well, we have White History Month. It's called January. And March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December. And February too.

I hear from people who rant that Black History Month is about "bashing white people". They obviously haven't watched the documentaries, they've only heard what the right-wing media has told them.

Any white person who rails against Black History Month is a fucking idiot. No two ways about it.

Oh, we have our "White History Month" or "Years" for that matter. It's just not the type of "History" these fools would like to remember. For all the fucking misery whites have caused others over the course of history, you'd think these idiots would STFU already and own their/our wretched past behavior, and give others the respect they deserve.

Seriously, these people make me ashamed of my skin color. To try and make whites the victims in any sense whatsoever is beyond perverse.
