  •  Uh, huh. I had to cut out 3/4" boards around to (8+ / 0-)

embed the drop of the latch so they couldn't get their muzzles on them to lift and escape. ::sigh:: The smart ones are always the biggest pains.

I had one houdini mare that knew the sound of my truck and would hear me coming and go hide after her depredations so she wouldn't get yelled at. One time, honest to Pete, she slipped back into her stall and closed the damned door behind her! I came in and found hay and piles of manure everywhere, but they were all in their respective stalls, ears up, looking sooo innocent. It wasn't til I noticed Giselle's latch wasn't fastened that I realized who was responsible. I had to go outside, I was laughing so hard, (didn't want to encourage her). Wired her damned stall shut at night after that.
