you" by the best vascular surgeon at Duke Medical 3 years ago after under going an angioplasty with the hopes of doing some by-pass surgery for a blocked artery into my right hand-this was to save a finger from amputation.

My arteries and vessels are being crushed from the outside due to hardening of connective tissues from scleroderma so stents and no healthy vessels to use for by-pass were found.

I was basically stunned, got into palliative care for a year due to loss weight and severe weakness and fatigue etc.,

Aspirin is my drug of choice. I've learned to know when a certain tweak pinch or twinge means aspirin time- head gets muffled, arms go numb etc., And I really live in the moment and get the toxic people and stuff away from me. Been out of palliative care cause I'm too stubborn to use more resources for personal care, errands etc., and still am able to do my basic stuff, but basically am a 'walking time bomb'.

For me it's all now just a waiting game and I seldom go to the doctors anymore. I don't want to go through the stress of all the labs and tests for nothing or just to discover a new health issue.

Something else is keeping me going..  :)

What I got from your story is you know your body and did the research and changes necessary.

Sometimes just tweaking one's thinking and diet works wonders for dealing with the physical side of us.

    Great diary!
