  •  Same policies as Republicans are after: austerity (18+ / 0-)

for us, prosperity for them (bansters and other wealthy elites).

Obama isn't just not a 'perfect progressive.' He's a neoliberal: fiscally conservative with some left-leaning social tendencies and the relatively sane view that sometimes government can help private industries out. His problem is that the biggest weight of the help he's fought for has gone to those who are already well off, to our detriment, because too frequently the good things that benefit middle-income and poor Americans are traded away in future deals (cf: Bernie's contributions to ACA) that ultimately screw the non-rich.

That's better than modern Republicans, of course, because at least there is some element of at least paying lip service to the non-rich. Then again a pile of warm monkey shit would be better than most modern Republicans, so I don't view that as being a particularly impressive accomplishment.

Hillary's campaign was to the right of Obama's, and Obama's presidency is about where I expected a person who held 100% to Hillary's campaign would have governed (i.e.: Obama has governed as Hillary ran in 2008--a moderate conservative with some left-leaning social tendencies--and about where I expected Hillary to have governed).

I'm sure in 2016 that would be better than whatever teabilly coddling moron the Republicans put up, but I'm not sure that's necessarily something to be proud of or to tout as a positive for the Democratic Party.
