  •   Chicago IS very green, if by that (none)
you mean parks and trees...one of Mayor Daley's proudest legacies has been planting millions of trees, installing 'green roofs' on City Hall and other buildings, promoting nature areas and bird habitats along the lake...many of which are within short distance of McCormick Place Hyatt. The museum campus is at its door, almost, and there are small beaches and lakeside walks close by.
The old airport on the lake, Meigs Field, is now Northerly Island, a nature area, and um, concert venue.  Also downtown are Grant Park, and the new Millenium Park (which has its problems, including voracious rabbits munching its acres of gardens, as well as other tourist attractions.)
Chicago is MUCH greener in that sense than Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Cleveland, and most other large eastern cities.
