      Try Rosemary Hawley Jarman -- I'm putting these in chronological order

      Crown in Candlelight - Owen Tudor and Katherine of Valois

      The King's Grey Mare - Elizabeth Woodville

      We Speak No Treason - Richard III

      The Courts of Illusion - Henry VII and Elizabeth of York

        It seems to be fashionable now to ridicule her writing style, but hers was the first pro-Richard book I ever read - "We speak No Treason". I thought it was beautfifully written, almost poetic. I've lost track of how many times I've read it.

        I also recommend: Paul Murray's biography of Richard III; "The Sunne in Spendor" by Sharon Kay Pennman (reportedly George Martin's favorite book - parts of "A Song of Ice and Fire" are based on the character of Richard III and the Wars of the Roses.)

        "Daughter of Time" by Josephine Tey is also very good.
