          No, but then again Nixon would have been convicted by members of his own party, which is why he chose the easier way out. One could argue that TD actually spared the GOP complete humiliation by getting out before he stood trial. :D

      was in fact payback for Nixon.  

      What a shame that his philandering came out in the midst of the investigation and impeachment.  NOT.
