  •  In fact, he and everyone he picks (6+ / 0-)

    must be the squeekiest-clean people in the world. The GOP hasn't been able to find a single thing that's real to scandalize over. It's been four years and NOTHING!
    Has this ever happened before?
    It certainly hasn't happened in the past 6 or 7 administrations.

    If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

      and possibly have a solid case for impeachment there if they didn't entirely agree with his policy of bombing anyone in any country without evidence.

        Coninued war crimes (holding prisoners at guantanamo)

        Continuation of warrantless wiretapping

        Torture of Bradley Manning

        I'm not advocating impeachment, but these are potential high crimes.

        But they'll never impeach him for these, because (i) they approve of these policies, and (ii) Bush did all this and more (except for drone murder of US citizen) and it would open the floodgates to prosecution of Bush and the entire Bush administration/crime family.

        So they're left grasping at straws.  They want a scandal so bad, and as another commenter wrote, Obama's must be the least corrupt administration in history, since they can't find anything on him.

        Seriously, why not impeach the guy for doing the thing you want, if it's illegal, and you can find a judge to agree?
        I mean, it ain't the hypocrisy, and it ain't the mental gymnastics; those have long since been retired by the GOP as obstacles to anything. Just ask Scalia, who would gladly rule;
        1. that drone strikes against American schoolchildren is fine and dandy, and
        2. that Obama should be impeached for for it, even if it never happened.
        And he would issue these rulings on the same day, given the chance.
