  •  Here's my stoichiometry for gypsum- (0+ / 0-)

    Gypsum + CO2:

    CaSO4·2H2O + CO2 = CaCO3+SO3+2H20

    SO3+2H20 = H2S03+O2

    (or something like that!)

    So Gypsum from drywall plus carbon dioxide
    equals calcium carbonate plus sulfurous acid plus oxygen, if the energetics support it.

    Any corrections?

    Concrete rubble would do something similar,
    (CaO) + Ca(OH)2 being the calcium-containing molecules (ignoring the rest).
