Since when is 1% dramatic and unsustainable?

I'm a bit confused about the diary, though -- does this mean that the Federal government pays the $38 billion as its share and the state has to pick up a few additional percent of the bill on top?

This sounds like a pretty good bargain to me for the amount of additional coverage the state obtains.

over ten years. After 2016, the share that the feds pay gradually decreases, starting at 95 percent in 2017.

look up a few to the "multiplier effect" and taxation comment.

Spending the $37.8-billion in PA more than increases state revenues enough to pay for the increase to the state's Medicare contribution.

Over two years and beyond, way more.

These Tea Party John Birch Society GOPers have pseudo-religious fantasies that they call "Austrian Economics" in place of what the rest of us call Economics.

There's a link there to a page for high school AP Economics that explains the multiplier effect.

Hopefully even Corbett understands the concept of "taxes."
