tries to steer education funds unconstitutionally to private schools, ends public assistance funding for childless adults, wants to privatize roads and a very successful lottery, and plans to raise gas taxes. That's just some of what he and his GOP buddies have engineered.

He's dragged his feet on taxing his gas drilling buddies to the point that a decent extraction tax will not exist until maybe the gas is all gone. Our so-called impact tax is a poor imitation. Fully two thirds of state forest lands have been leased for drilling, and that doesn't even include miles and miles of pipelines and other industrial infrastructure planned to take the place of our beautiful Penn's Woods and all its wildlife.

And local taxes just keep rising to make up for the taxes that aren't being paid by the wealthy and corporations. Taxes on people on fixed incomes; PA has the second highest population of elderly people in the U.S.

But Corbett will grant a $1.67 billion tax break to entice a Shell methane cracker plant to locate here in PA. All for big business, all the time.

(which it isn't---the oil company franchise tax cap is being phased out. this has been recommended since the 90s. yes, it probably will get passed on to everyone else.)

PA's public transportation infrastructure sucks. We're not even keeping up with maintenence.

More 1959, reflecting anti-Roosevelt hatreds from the 1930s, than 2013.

"Have you left no sense of decency, sir, at long last?" Army Attorney to Sen. McCarthy, 1954. "We have done nothing to be ashamed of. We have nothing to apologize for." NRA 12/14/2012.
