as the other farmers I know, or the sort of farmers in Harvey's speech. It's just my work--not on hobby farms, by the way, the people I work for make their living farming. It's how I make my living, and I wasn't looking to get in a pissing match about it.

I love the rural and I get annoyed by the denigration of it I see happen here at times, as well as throughout our society. I've seen that. I've commented on it before. I'm not pissed about the ad because it glorified rural life--like I said in the diary, I love the words and the images were beautiful.

You seem to have misunderstood my diary. Apologies I'm not good enough a person for you and apologies you seem to think I came here to bash rural people. You obviously don't know a damn thing about me if that's what you think I'm here for.

Apparently if I don't love a Dodge Ram commercial, then I hate the rural area I live and the friends who live here with me, and the community I'm a part of. Sometimes people can have different opinions on a fucking truck commercial and that doesn't mean they hate rural people.

Of The Hands - Thoughts on voluntary poverty, homesteading, farming, reconnecting to the land, doing good work, and muddling through the new no-growth economy.
