I chatted with Kathy last night and her main concern was the yearly lease on the building, which was $5,000.

She has $16 K but has earmarked it for nursing scholarships for victims of domestic violence.

The Bowling Green community has been very generous over the last 6 years, but donations have dropped off.

I think she is concerned about sustainability.

    •  okay - we get the rent - then perhaps there are (3+ / 0-)

kossacks out there who are familiar with the grant writing process.  i'm also thinking there may be other groups that can offer help in long-term fundraising sources.

my first thoughts this morning were of the organizations formed for missing children - to try to find out how they have funded and stayed visible - adam walsh foundation comes to mind.

what we have to do right now, though, is raise the rent!

i'm sure she is also tired - it is such a task - of love and energy - and it has to be so hard when times are tough.  things will get better, though, i feel it!

is the media doing much coverage about the possible loss of the center?

EdriesShop Is it kind? is it true? is it necessary?
