  •  Or I flip it and think about... (4.00)
what I went through growing up...

and how much I aspire for my kids NOT to have that BS foisted upon them.

I'm actually fine with a wide range of speech, period...but it's the attitudes that get me..the cluelessness, the way that Reagan's mind tricks worked and now we're all talking about the same old stuff.

Why are our children going through this same old gay, bitch, cocksucker crap?

Where are the powerful women leaders in their 30's and 40's...the daughters of feminism?  I want to follow some of them.

Where are the leaders of color for this new generation...who speak, like Senator Obama, for everyone's hunger for justice?

We need more than one or two leaders.  We need a Jedi army of folks ready to take power back from these fucking Sith lords in DC.

    (sorry...egregious Star Wars reference.)

I used to live like Robinson Crusoe--shipwrecked among eight million people. Then one day I saw a footprint in the sand, and there you were. -B. Wilder

are completely lost on me, since I only saw the original first two movies. I know, I'm culturally illiterate.

But you are absolutely right--it's that attitude and the cluelessness that are the problem. Part of that is what I was trying to get at in terms of a little bit more consideration for others.

But in a larger sense it's about opening up our debate here to more thoughtful and critical thinking--to finding new paradigms and better, more effective ways to express ourselves. To become leaders.

I got nuthin'. But check out unbossed.
