That reminds me I really have to vacuum, and I need a trip to Target for stuff like a swiffer duster and some other cleaning supplies.  Jim did all that.

I have their battery powered sweeper and i lurves it for a quick clean of the floors.

The duster is also very cool but I've started using a microfiber washable sort in its place - the neon green ones you can get a the grocery?  Works just was well and you can just pop  it in the wash after.

    •  We've finally got a deadline (4+ / 0-)

for some major cleaning -- they're doing major renovations on our apartment complex (replacing the patio railings, new windows and sliding doors, new siding, fumigation, etc.) and they're starting on our building March 11. So I want this place relatively clean by then -- gives us a month, and since we should have mom-in-law settled by Tuesday we'll have time to devote to our own needs.

Nice thing though is they're giving residents four options -- one being a 50% reduction in rent for the time period our building is under renovation, which could be up to 60 days meaning a substantial chunk of change (more than enough to cover Mr. Scribe getting an NN13 registration if we think his mom can do without him for that week), or perhaps a MacBook Air to replace my dying MacBook. And that fumigation will actually give us a reason to get away for a weekend; if mom-in-law is willing to help out a bit I might try and talk the Mister into a Napa trip to see a couple of my baseball friends up there.
