    The electrocardiogramcould not have been clearer - a region of Bill Clinton's heart was not getting the blood it needed.

    It was 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Clinton sat in his cardiologist's office at New York-Presbyterian Columbia hospital - the same facility where six years ago he underwent quadruple bypass surgery.

    Now, one of those bypass channels was totally blocked again, and there was no time to lose, tests showed.

    "He would have had a heart attack at some point," said one hospital source when asked what would have happened if Clinton, 63, ignored his symptoms.
