    but at 68F, I usually try to give the proof a little boost by heating the oven just a little bit and letting the dough sit in the residual heat.

      We have a gas fireplace insert that sticks out of the fireplace about 12 inches; has vents on the top to let heat out.

      Mrs. Wheeldog, a true baking expert, finds that's a wonderful place to let dough rise, especially sourdough.

      When atlatls are outlawed, only outlaws will have atlatls.
