      They have wings but never fly--if you throw one in the air, they'll just fall to the ground and run away.

      Cockroaches are misunderstood critters.  Everyone thinks they are dirty and filthy, but in reality they spend a lot of time cleaning and grooming themselves. If you hold one, they don't like the oils and salts that humans have on their skin--to them, we feel all icky and gunky--so after about ten minutes they will stop and carefully preen themselves all over, like a little pootie tat.

      When I used to do shows, I always kept a couple in my pocket so I could pull them out and talk about them.
