    someone who believes the history of the South should only be taught and portrayed like it was in Gone With the Wind. It wasn't so long ago that some Virginians of the Cucchinelli variety were advocating that the word "slavery" be struck from all text books to be replaced by the word "servant." Not quite sure how they planned to deal with all the books that exist in the world about the peculiar institution, but there it is. There's definitely a rising movement, particularly among tea party conservatives, to scrub any unpleasantness that would suggest racism played any part in how this country evolved. I get the feeling Ms. Murphy is one of these. If the kid did have nightmares, imagine how actual slaves felt.
