    Going home for lunch may exist in some smaller towns, but businesses now have what is called "la journée continue," where they don't shut down the production lines or offices for two hours midday. The labor code only requires a 30 minute break after 6+ hours of work.

    I'm sure there is very little snacking at the desk, however.  It just isn't done.
