    from the Christie issue by people who couldn't separate the personal from the actual medical issues being discussed, as well as the people making insensitive comments.
    If we can have civil discussions about Clinton and Biden being too old to run in 2016, I don't see why we can't  have the same discussion about someone as overweight as Christie is, if we avoid the personal attacks.
    We act like Christie is going to be one of our candidates, rather than just another union busting, loud mouthed bully governor.

      as I noted one diary tying weight to employment issues (which are real) and thought that the same issues exist for those  of us over 50 years old and trying to find employment.  For that matter, while a bit more personal, people who are perceived as ugly also have problems in finding employment in some fields (disclaimer: I am a threefer in discrimination, i.e. fat, old and ugly)
