  •  Happy Valentine's Day to you (7+ / 0-)

    sweet Agathena <3

I could look at that photo for a long time, it has so much detail and interest.  We were in Philadelphia over the weekend and I was scoping out some things I'd like to photograph in the vicinity of Rittenhouse Square and the theater area.  KBO and I have been planning some city streets photo series.  Philadelphia is really a beautiful city with some incredible architecture and a lot of interest.  You don't see that many photos of it though, really.

It used to have a very nice skyline, but Comcast ruined it with a horrific skyscraper that does not blend with the others at all.  A lot of people hate it, like, a lot.  I should find a way to express that in photos, lol.  Evil Comcast.

I love the way you do the store window displays.

    •  Thank you Joanne! Happy V. Day to you too! (6+ / 0-)

On Valentines Day, I love all the red hearts, the chocolates the tons of flowers in front of the shops. That window was too much of a muchness and I only captured part of it.

Yes, I love roaming the streets of the city looking for a few good shots. I knew a photographer on Flickr who could find the most amazing details. He said he could find a thousand different photos in one city block.

It's good to photograph stuff you hate. Wm Eggleston did it all the time.

yes, that particular window display is not my style either, but I love the photo of it.  I love store window displays.  It's an art.  I didn't know about the whole "photograph stuff you hate" idea.  Pretty interesting.  I'll have to look into Eggleston's work.
