  •  yes, gluttony admitted, but not sloth (5+ / 0-)

This is also the guy who flew a helicopter to his son's little league game, and rode a limo for 1000' from the helicopter to the diamond.

Christie simply does not have what it takes to lead the land for such a great many reasons, wrapping him up with the civil rights of the obese disserves the obese.

heard of nurses that are very rough with overweight patients because they hate them because they make the job harder.  So overweight patients get more skin tears.  Maybe because of their weight, maybe because a rough nurse, maybe both.

Cancer?  What did YOU do to get cancer?  The only blameless cancer now is breast cancer.  If you want any sympathy and not to suffer retribution from your milieu, say you have breast cancer no matter what.

      •  I get what you're saying, but... (0+ / 0-)

the conflation of these two premises (#s 1 & 2) can be used to drive a wedge among liberals and Democrats.

Premise #1: Persons suffering from obesity and other medical issues have unjustified moral judgment passed on them, and harmful bigoted feelings directed at them.

        and

Premise #2: Cristie is a victim, due to facts posited by premise #1, but otherwise some reasonable, competent & effective character, not withstanding the state of Camden or Trenton, or his unwillingness to deny himself anything, ever (not just food, but also tantrums and outbursts).

Leading to BIG false Premise #3: Cristie is somehow a normal, reasonable guy who could otherwise be President.

Getting #3 across is your false Republican meme plant for the day.

        •  No, fat Cristie is a cheap shot. He has many (1+ / 0-)

flaws.  So instead of calling me a Republican.  Why don't you pound on what you think is wrong with Cristie, links and all?

This is a perfect place to start that.  I know I don't like Cristie.  I just don't have good reasons.

          I come here to learn.

I didn't mean to call you a Republican for even a split second! This is my bad, and I'm sorry.

Although I can well understand why you would have thought that's what I meant by:

Getting #3 across is your false Republican meme plant for the day.
I regret that you took that to be my meaning, because that is a reasonable way to take that. I should have said instead:
Getting #3 across is our false Republican meme plant for the day.
Seeds are planted hear to soften opposition. Here, a new rule is being developed that Cristie can't be picked on for being fat. And the conflation of anti-obesity bigotry with and a bid for fair play for Cristie runs wild here today.

Sorry you took it so personally, and it is my bad that you did. But I'm not calling you anything as much as I'm bitching about the weather.

the seeds with anvils, we will be doing what we do best here.

We need to go after Cristie with everything.  Except his body.

We need to articulate why he sucks.  You can call me anything including, late for dinner, if you get the anvil to place on the seeds.

      •  Not even breast cancer is safe from victim-blaming (4+ / 0-)

according to Barbara Ehrenreich, who wrote a fantastic book about this stuff.

You may not be able to change the world, but at least you can embarrass the guilty.
