and "Bubba" was mocked while in office for his bad eating habits.  So this BS that poor Christie is being singled out is bs.
Obama's smoking was a discussion point in the public.   His doctors were interviewed and consulted.
Reagan's age was an issue and it was discussed publicly.

Way back when, FDR's polio was hidden, JFK's back problem's were hidden because it was feared the public would be uncomfortable with there being a health issue for the president.

Bill Clinton's health issues related to his being overweight and his eating habits were publicly discussed.
But because he was overweight it did not prevent him from being elected.

But Christie is not just overweight.  He is morbidly obese by any measure. And at age 50, he has had years of this obesity doing damage to his body.  No way around that.
Discussing his obesity in regards to his run for the presidency is not out of line, nor is it mocking, nor is it unfair.  All aspects of presidential candidates' health, from mental health to past health issues to life style should be on the table.  Does not mean that person cannot choose to run but voters certainly have the right to take these things into account.   Whether or not people here mocked is not the issue (for me).  I have not read too many posts mocking his weight....most seem to be discussing it or debating the doctor's public statements about it.  Frankly, the person doing the most mocking was Christie himself on Letterman.

For me, Christie's policies are the primary reason I never would vote for him.  As well, his quick temper, his obnoxious bullying and his obesity would be concerns for me even if I liked any of his policy pov.
