I send dozens of packages per week via first class or priority mail.  Most of the time the buyer has the item in 2 days.  The people at the post office are friendly despite being overworked, and the mail carrier is great too.  They all obviously care about getting the mail to its destination and they know their work is important, even vital to many seniors who get their meds via first class mail.

Anything over 20 lb. goes via UPS, which since they are unionized has cool drivers who are adequately compensated.  But compared to USPS, UPS is dog slow and they handle packages somewhat harshly.  There isn't the same sense of importance, for them it's just a job.

FedEx are impersonal, I suppose because since they aren't unionized they're all overworked and underpaid, so it's all they can do to keep up and get home at the end of the day.  Of course, FedEx is the GOP's model delivery business.
