You buy a tube of pre made peanut butter cookie dough (though I suppose if you work less than 3 jobs you may have time to make the dough from scratch).

Then a bag of peanut butter cups - mini size.

I line mini size muffin pans with mini size paper muffin cups.

I add wheat germ to the dough, roll it in little balls and then squish each ball into a muffin paper. I cook them for however long it says on the package you are supposed to cook them.

While they are cooking I am unwrapping the mini peanut butter cups.

When the cookie dough, having risen and browned, comes out of the oven I stick a mini peanut butter cup in the middle of each one.

    Ta da! Tarts.

When they cool I wrap each one individually and take them to my local Gilda's Club. After chemotherapy kills your taste buds the sweet one is the first to come back. Individually wrapped because chemo is not known to boost immune systems.

    •  One of my favorite flavors is lemon ... (1+ / 0-)

... and chemo made lemon taste like metal.  The only flavors I could both taste and enjoy were rhubarb and lime.  Fortunately it was spring and the rhubarb in my garden was both plentiful and convenient -- I had more stewed rhubard that spring than my whole life put together.

When I could taste lemon again, I sucked on lemon drops compulsively until my dental hygenist wagged her finger.  :-)

Your tart recipe looks like something my grandsons could really get into ... both making and eating!
