    is that it used to be that these things happened more in the home, but now the shooters are coming out with their guns and doing it in public places like the courthouse, the places one is supposed to be safe in using.

    And of course, one of the legal problems for the shooters is that while one can commit a crime in the spur of a moment at home, any taking of a gun to a different place gives what the law calls premeditation. But the current moment in gun control is bringing out the looneys who argue that carrying a gun to places  where there are other people is after all just a logical right, as if it were still in the living room, and this is what happens - it frees up what were once socially required inhibitions to doing that sort of carrying, done for the protection of all. Now it's not even safe to go to a courthouse.
