They are entitled to their opinions.

Just as I am entitled to my opinions.

For me the diary was quite hysterical and I sent the link to a few friends who have/had dogs.

We anthropomorphize our pets to an astonishing degree, but even a scientific study there was an article about only last week or so talked about dogs understanding humans.  It was on the BBC weekly quiz, in fact.

We who treat our animals well and with respect also have a sense of humor and we've seen just those expressions on our own pets at times.  One can't help but laugh at them..., maybe laugh with them.  I think they have a sense of humor.  [You'd have to have know the World's Best Kids' Dog I grew up with to know why I think they have a sense of humor.  She loved kids and kids loved her.]

Even if we momentarily get a bit pissed when our fur people misbehave, it never lasts and we don't take out our anger on them any more than we would a toddler who misbehaves.

Just because I love animals to distraction, it does not logically follow that I have to lose my sense of humor when situations with animals get funny.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
