AS GOES JANESVILLE comes straight out of Wisconsin — ground zero in the recession-ridden heartland’s struggle to hold on to the American Dream..
Honestly? - It's as if the right-wing "business community types" are a completely different species. All standing strong with Scott Walker and cheering the slow-motion demolition of everything good and decent in Wisconsin.

Jobs that don't pay a living-wage are a badge of honor to these cretins and something to be happy about. I can't imagine what they would say off-camera about "unemployment insurance."

    •  You can't drive wages down if employment is (3+ / 0-)

at a decent level. The dollar-worshipping Conservatives and the NeoLiberals are both agreed that employment will come back to the US when we can "compete in the global marketplace where slave-wages and near-slave wages prevail."

The NeoLiberals, however, in private will wipe a tear, whereas the Conservatives are already trying to figure out how you can pay less than slave-wages.

      they're reptiles.

A while back, sitting w/some very wealthy repubs, their kids (seventeen and eighteen yrs. old) came by and said "wonder what the poor people are doing tonight", they laughed and drove off in their new cars.  Made my skin crawl to hear their ignorance.  They are conscienceless.  Later, all were ne're do wells while in college, w/trust funds and now w/jobs their daddy's provided.

Their view of people w/o millions is despicable.
I'll never get the sound of their sick laughter out of my head.  Over a period of a couple of years I learned they really are a different species.

It's difficult for normal people to truly understand what they think of us.
