Who has given these in the past when a Republican was in the WH.

    Thanks to Wikipedia:

    2008.  Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius
2007. U.S. Senator Jim Webb (Virginia)
    2006. Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine
2005. U.S. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (Nevada) and U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (California).
2004. U.S. Senator Tom Daschle (South Dakota) and U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (California)
    2003. Washington Governor Gary Locke
2002. U.S. Representative Richard Gephardt (Missouri)

1992. U.S. House Speaker Tom Foley (Washington)
1991. U.S. Senator George Mitchell (Maine)
1990. U.S. House Speaker Tom Foley (Washington)
1987 & 1988. U.S. Senator Robert Byrd (West Virginia) and U.S. House Speaker Jim Wright (Texas)

Interesting, 1985 included Governor Bill Clinton.

Though most are forgettable that they even happened, I actually remember some of those for being good.  But none of them reeked like the recent GOP appearances.

Speaking of the GOP, here are the Republicans from the 1990s.

2000.  U.S. Senators Susan Collins (Maine) and William Frist (Tennessee)
1999. U.S. Representatives Jennifer Dunn (Washington) and Steven Largent (Oklahoma)
1998. U.S. Senator Trent Lott (Mississippi)
    1997. U.S. Representative J.C. Watts (Oklahoma)
    1994 & 1996. U.S. Senator Robert Dole (Kansas)
1995. New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman
A forgettable lot but notable that they included some moderates back then.  Ain't gonna happen soon again for the GOP.
