    usage of some guns they own already, one day.  That seems to worry those same gun owners you reference, who apparently show worries of not being able to clutch even more killing things to help counter fears of being weaponless in a post-nuclear war society (or similar).

    Not the same as taking away weapons from their cold dead hands, I realize.

    In the end, the guns and accessories being considered for civilian bans are just things.  Not things which support life or Constitutional rights, but things which allow you to hit live or non-living targets many times a second.  Oh, how could anyone consider not having one at home?

      Many from the gun side of the debate here decried and derided the AWB. They celebrated its death.

      No one is taking guns away from these folks. Then they regurgitate some example from California in 1999 (which went nowhere) and the UK.

      But, of course, there is no discussion about how such an undertaking would come to pass here.

      It won't. But that, apparently, hasn't eased the fear that it could!
