Don't start out with an assumption like that and expect me to discuss with you your other "concerns".

For this subject you need your A game.

    •  HB3, I am a fan... (0+ / 0-)

I agree with you much more often than not.

However, since when do we have to have "an investigation showing her innocence" in this country?  I thought that was presumed?

Dorner is somewhat of the anti-hero in this story, I can see that.  That said, he deserves to have a fair trial and then brought to justice as determined by said trial.  Until then, we have to consider him a dangerous criminal suspect that deserves to by captured and tried just like any other dangerous suspect should be removed from society who has a significant amount of evidence of criminal misconduct against them.

The murder victim in this case has not been accused of anything.  She should not be slandered just because she was the unfortunate target of a vigilante bent on revenge.  We can agree with a message, even if it is delivered with a bullet, without condoning the method of delivery.

For the sake of society, and humanity, we can never find it acceptable to substitute vigilante murder for justice.

      •  This isn't about that. (0+ / 0-)

If you would like I will pick apart another part of their argument. But since it is a glaring piece of newspeak I'm drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

True they have not been convicted of a crime.

But why is this person using the modifier? Only to garner sympathy for what is likely someone quite negative from a public relations point of view.

        •  So now it's officially ok to kill women (0+ / 0-)

if their fathers piss you off.

Please for the love of the FSM tell me you don't represent any form of mainstream progressive thinking.

I'd really love to hear your views on the VAWA. You probably think it's unfair to go after domestic abusers, because if they beat or kill their wives or girlfriends maybe those women "deserved it" and the men shouldn't be punished until the innocence of those women are proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

          Honestly speechless.

When we stop putting leaders from the past up on pedestals and ignoring their flaws, we can start seeing our present leaders for what they really are.
