  •  My sister's birthday is tomorrow. She died (4+ / 0-)

last September.  She was 48, way too young to die.  The baby sister I held in my arms, it's almost like a child of mine has died.  My other sister, lost in grief, anger, and depression, won't speak to me or sister #3, because we supported the family in their final days of decision making (re: hospital and hospice).  Long but sad story.  One sister gone, another lost in anger.  It makes the whole sad affair even sadder when the family breaks apart afterwards.

    •  Like you, my younger sister died last August (4+ / 0-)

and my youngest sister, who was estranged from her for 32 years, remains lost in her bitterness.

So it feels as if we've both lost two sisters in one fell swoop.
