    It stands to reason that when you select a 79 year old man to be Pope, he is not going to be able to serve for a long time.

      Look, he announced the retirement in Latin, right?

      How many people speak Latin?  Five, in the whole world?  My money says he was actually saying he would like pizza and a couple of beers for supper, and opportunistic Vatican staffers announced that he had spoken of his retirement.

      By the time word got back to him - when he got a schnitzel for supper instead of the pizza he ordered - it was too late.  A done deal.

      It's Morning in America (and the GOP has a hangover).
