    by competent individuals and being ordered around by clowns.
    I have some sympathy for people who don't want to be involved in the nitty gritty of governing and would prefer to have "george do it," if George just knew which way is up.

    Even if George were just a figure head with good advisors, it would work. But, clowns just won't do the job.
    Democrats relying on union bosses in the past was not much better.
    Technocrats aren't necessarily the answer, either. The welfare of the people has to be the top priority; not the supremacy of the nation or even the dominion of the rule of law. Because a legal tyranny is worse than the flesh and blood kind.
    How do we prevent tyranny. The answer lies in turnover, I think. Power not only has to be dispersed, but the agents of government have to be regularly replaced.

    We organize governments to deliver services and prevent abuse.
