New Girl : Awkward :: Big Bang Theory : Geeky

Expecting Hollywood to nail archetypes is probably expecting too much. This, in spite of the fact that many in Tinseltown fall into one or both of these categories. The real question is Zooey as singer: yea or nay?

I say nay, though I can tolerate the odd She and Him song. I did enjoy her shower duet of Baby, It's Cold Outside in Elf.

for Zooey as a singer. I've got nothing against her personally and I enjoy a lot of her work, I just think The New Girl itself isn't brave enough for its premise.

But again, to the question, yea. ;D

    •  I didn't get that the author is "expecting" (0+ / 0-)

Hollywood to nail archetypes,  just pointing out, in (his?) opinion, they are missing key ingredients on this one. It's certainly a valid opinion, esp. if you see yourself as rather an exert in that particular archetypal arena.

    •  This also made me think of BBT (0+ / 0-)

I've heard Big Bang Theory referred to as "Nerd blackface" or "Geeksploitation"
