  •  The surprise is not that they backed Markey (0+ / 0-)

but that they chose to do so in the primary.  I was really expecting MTA to stay out of the primary and put its effort into the general.

Today's recommendation shows MTA really doesn't want Lynch in the Senate.

    •  The "establishment" fix is in? (0+ / 0-)

Which would be too bad.  I'm not happy with this "clear the field" crap that is going on in MA.

      •  I'm not sure what you're talking about (0+ / 0-)

Lynch is running, so "clearing the field" is no longer an option.  The question now is which of the two would make a better senator.

For my money, hands down, Markey is much, much better.  Lynch, after all, stabbed the president in the back on the Affordable Care Act.  From that time forward, I've had no respect for the man whatsoever.  I worked on Mac D'Alessandro's campaign when Mac primaried him after that vote, and I will enthusiastically volunteer for Markey when the opportunity presents itself.

I'm happy my union voted to recommend Markey.  He's a progressive.  A ConservaDem like Lynch I've got no use for.
