    used by a single person in reference to themselves unless they were discussing it with someone who started using it first, to avoid offending them mainly (by avoiding pointing out their error). This is a very common thing that African-Americans also did when the shift from "Negro" to "Colored" to "Black" to "African-American" (and arguably, back again) happened.

    Are you referring to your workers as "illegal" and then hearing them say it back to you? If so, I suspect strongly that they are avoiding being impolite, sincerely. Particularly if you were close.

        I already see they would be banned in 2.5 seconds for the shit that would fly out of their mouths; trust me, I've heard no end to it in my short life.
