    Thank you for this.  1946.  As a first year Baby Boomer, I know all too well the truth of this story.  I worked in a high stress civilian career (Child Protective Investigations & Juvenile Justice work + Foster Care and Children's Protective Supervision/Services).  I did apply for SSD in my mid fifties and, after a hearing, was granted the disability partially due to the "burnout" of my chosen career.  I never did any physical labor.  Many kinds of work take their toll on people.  And living in the US is, in and of itself, far more stressful than living in other social democracies due to the lack of a strong social safety net.

    We are in a horrible mess in the United States.  Decades of right wing influence and unregulated capitalist abuses have decimated the working class and immeasurably harmed the poor, the sick, the disabled and the weak in our country.  They and we all need help - emergency help - raise the minimum wage - Now. That is one thing that can begin to help.  Don't believe the Republican liars and thieves.
