If there was a reasonable expectation of you being charged or convicted of being a criminal, would you still embrace the circumstance of becoming a criminal?

Are you ready to do jail time? Ready for the record of criminality that would go with being convicted, and its' effect on your life?

You are a firearms instructor, right? Would you - do you -  instruct your students to follow the law? Or do you instruct them that following laws is more an optional thing based on personal interpretations of rights?

That does not affect my position on an issue. If you choose to break the new law that's your business. If those guns stay in your safe, unknown to authorities, then they are not killing anyone.

Which is the point. I know many gun owners think tearing the gun out of your still warm hand and then taunting you is the point. But it is not.

The goal is to create a legal construct under which fewer gun deaths occur. If part of that dynamic includes defiant gun owners keeping their contraband on the down-low, then so be it.

      Whaddya know?
