  •  The Counterpunch site is a CT site with an agenda. (4+ / 0-)

It has about as much credibility as the National Inquirer.

This audio was analyzed this morning on Jonathan Turley's law blog.  The person who did an analysis of the audio is Darren Smith, a career officer from Washington state who is now retired  He is both a professional LEO, as well as a guy who is very much into civil liberties....that is why he is one of the most liked commenters on Professor Turley's law blog.  Here is what Darren had to say, and we had an exchange of comments regarding the matter.  Down at the end of the thread, Darren just now posted a link saying there had been a positive ID on the body.

several days ago. I read only enough of it to see it was nothing I wanted any part of. I have no interest in reading it.

    •  The authorship is pretty diverse... (1+ / 0-)

Dean Baker was screaming about the housing bubble on that newsletter for years before it popped.  Alan Greenspan publishes there with some frequency.  So does a Treasury Secretary from the Reagan administration.  It also has some much more radical people.  The credibility goes as far as the author's credibility.  It arguably has less of an agenda than this website, whose agenda is directly stated.  More better democrats.

Thank you for your link.  It was very informative, and substantiates one of the primary documents cited in one of the articles I linked to, and has a different analysis.

      •  EDIT... (0+ / 0-)

Not Alan Greenspan!  LOL.  Ralph Nader.  I have no idea how my brain made that error.  It must have been Nader's green party affiliation, then some sort of seizure.
