  •  Why don't we just have a petition..... (11+ / 0-)

.....asking Harry Reid to step down for political malpractice?

He won't, of course, but we may get more satisfaction.

We get it.  We all (or maybe many of us) really like Charlie Brown he is a really good guy and that Lucy - not so much although deep down she is probably just a kid in pain.  But you know what?  You don't have to keep this game going.  When "Lucy" puts the ball down and says she won't pull it away ever again cross her heart and hope to die she DOESN'T mean it.

If this is too oblique for you let me try it a bit more straight.  Your GOP colleagues are LYING.  They will not change until the players change.  They might promise you to behave but, once again, they are LYING.  So when Mitch McConnell promises  you that 2013 is different.  This time they will cooperate.  What is it?  A LIE.  So stop being Charlie Brown.  Stop trusting in the untrustworthy.  How about show that the Democratic party is worth the effort that we all put into getting you elected and stop gambling on a LIE.

pulled back that ball, her head was the closest thing to Charlie Brown's foot.

Good Ol' Charlie Brown. He probably never gave a passing thought to what occured to me every time I saw her set that ball.

Reid also knows he and the Dems might need to play Lucy someday.

What happens in this session has nothing to do with what a GOP majority can do in a future session. Do you really think "precedent" has any power to stop these rabid hyenas from doing whatever the hell they want?
