I voted for them because I thought they would do what's right straight off and wouldn't need to be flipped by anybody. Silly me.

I guess our representatives can't fail they can only be failed?

    Bullshit.

    •  I don't understand this comment. (0+ / 0-)

I have two pretty good Senators, especially Boxer.  I expect them to do what's right, which they normally do, and to do everything in their power to enact those measures - which they both did not do on Filibuster Reform.  It is their constituency's responsibility to get them back on the right path, not simply Harry Reid's.  You have a problem with that?

      •  I do have a problem with that. (0+ / 0-)

How does Boxer plan on getting her Climate Change Bill through the senate without filibuster reform? How does DiFi plan on getting her AWB bill though? You think they need us to put them on the right path to understanding that, as if they don't already? The only person who could've changed their votes was Harry Reid. As it was, he probably had them change their votes to no for whatever lame reason he has to preserve the 60 vote threshold.

In any case they've made themselves useless for at least the next two years while Republicans block everything they pretend to do. You have a problem with that?

        •  We basically saying the same thing. (0+ / 0-)

The only difference, I guess, is that I think you should express what you've said to them directly, as well as to Harry.  This issue is only closed for two years if we let it be closed.  I think the idea that their constituency isn't convinced in their sincerity about AWB and the Climate Change Bill because of their Filibuster failure might have a larger impact than pressure from Harry Reid.
