      That's as good an argument as any for sending him up there.

      Of course, there's always the minimal chance that we could launch him up at exactly the same time as the passing alien species detects life, and he would be our first ambassador to extraterrestrials. They'd probably want to blow us up, making the "launch Nugent into space" thing a bit of a wash, human-species-survival-wise.
