the relationship of various Wall St. entities is far too incestuous. Thank goodness we got Elizabeth Warren elected. We may finally get some straight talk about how banking is run in America

Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World, by Liaquat Ahamed.

The bankers under discussion are the heads of the central banks of the US, England, France and Germany following WWI and into the Depression; I recommended it strongly because it includes an excellent summary of US banking and financial history.

I wish Senator Warren well, and she is an amazing person, but to think she, alone, can change the entire system is putting on her the same kind of burden placed on Senator Obama when he ran for President.

Obama hasn't done absolutely everything everyone wanted right away, and Warren isn't going to, either. So I hope we don't get to the point of people posting hateful diaries about how she's a sell-out, too.

We are often so identified with whatever thoughts we may be having that we don’t realize the thoughts are a commentary on reality, and not reality itself. -- Gangaji
