    You can't just put every Republican at the far right of the spectrum.  Christie is very conservative by New Jersey Republican standards -- we've certainly never had a governor as far to the right as he is, but that's comparing him to the likes of Tom Kean and Christine Whitman.  He's in line with the far right on a number of issues, but not on every issue, which positions him closer to the center than most of the tea party favorites.

      At this juncture I'd like to suggest that we cool the love fest with XL Tony Soprano and review the only evidence that matters:  his leadership record.

      Christie IS as extreme as Scott Walker and Rick Snyder but is accomplishing the same damage to the state  of N.J. as they are to theirs more insiduously. And he's getting away with it.
