is I spend my time calling out police that violate the law and get told I'm a cop hater. But this guy posts this and that's okay?

There's people here on Dailykos in a certain group who have said remarkably similar things.

the tweet seems to clinch it.

have no respect for unjustified authority, unlike right wing so-called "libertarians" (a corruption of the original meaning of that term, which still means libertarian socialism in Europe), they have a profound respect for human rights, and human life. Anarchists have little in common with American-style "libertarians".

They don't call for wanton violence against people, and that would include killing cops. Their goal is to create an egalitarian society, free of illegitimate forms of authority.

They would tend to support the concept of self defense against all forms of authoritarianism but generally aren't foolish enough to get in thoughtlessly violent squabbles that accomplish nothing in the way of movement forward. They do not support violence for violence's sake.

Anarchism is primarily a way of living in social and economic equality. Most people are clueless about Anarchist theory and really need to become more informed before commenting about it.

Overall, anarchists oppose most wars, and as a political movement, down through the years, have been far less violent than capitalist "democratic" republics (just think for a moment of America's present state of Democratically supported war, the drone killings, extrajudicial assassination, and so forth - oh, but it's okay when the State does it).

It's time we put aside the canard that anarchists are violent, compared to such people as Bush and Cheney and their supporters who illegally went to war against Iraq and who engaged in torture, Obama and his supporters (who have continued much of Bush's policies, and expanded drone warfare, and have remained in Afghanistan), Democratic mayors across the land and their suppression of dissent using the police as protectors of the capitalist state (the police having engaged in countless incidents of violence against peaceful demonstrators).

Anarchists are a varied group. Most don't condone needless violence. But your average Democrat? They support the horrors of violence every time they cheer on the policies of Democratic administrations and the associated warfare during most of U.S history.

Here's what Portland police (under orders of a democratic mayor) did to an acquaintance of mine, a peaceful Occupy protestor. This is what I call violence.
