  •  Er, a couple of editorial remarks, please... (4+ / 0-)

As a retired astro person, I'd like to remind us all that Pluto ceased to be the ninth planet in our Solar System officially in 2006.  Of course, for many of us, it had long held reduced standing because of its distance, dullness, and inferiority compared to Ganymede et al., not to mention our own Moon.

So if the Cons all go to Pluto (god of the underworld), that's just fine.  We just don't have to pretend they're members in full standing of the human race solar system.

    Oh, and re this:

It's just a little reminder of why you should always pick your pundits carefully.  My rule: Best stick to the ones who don’t make shit up.
Just how many pundits does that leave us, exactly?  Bloody few, I reckon.

Aw, sh&t!  It's only a month until the Vernal Equinox.  Another unbearably hot summer coming soon to stores near you.

But as long as the goldfinches are gulping down the suet and Mrs. Cardinal #2 is actually hanging onto the bird feeder (making the chickadees giggle, given her heft), I can hope that they sense a longer winter than the calendar threatens.
