    OK, here's a dose of reality.

    The tar sands resource extraction can't be stopped. The best we can hope for is to minimize the damage.

    First, using natural gas to provide heat for the extraction process is sheer folly.

    Second, transporting bitumem (by pipeline or any other means) to Texas to refine it is sheer folly. And any Canadian who is paying attention (other than the ones working for the Koch brothers) will tell you that it would make far more sense to just build the damn refinery in Alberta, and transport the finished product. And, transport it to Canada and the Western US, instead of China.

    Canada keeps the jobs, the energy, and the revenue. Makes far more sense than Keystone XL.
