    short-term is probably wishful thinking.  President Obama using his executive authority to the full extent possible is also probably just wishful thinking.  Grass roots people pressure needs to continue to increase and ways to go beyond politics need to be pursued.  Redirecting the money flow away from fossil fuel companies and into green enterprises is one of those ways.  Supporting and encouraging 350's fossil free divestment program is one such way to take "beyond politics" action.    

    If we really want to straighten out all this crap we really need to think about shit - Holy Shit.

      ...on all front, at the White House, in the House and Senate, "in the streets," and, as you say, with positive moves toward supporting enterprises that bend us away from fossil fuels. That means, in part, support for STATE energy and climate programs that, for example, aim for good renewable energy standards. Much is happening in several states that can make a difference, both in the short and long term.
